Commemoration Program for the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of the Ardennes – MANHAY
With the non-profit organization Ardennes History Remember

Wednesday, December 11:
– 19:30 Presentation of the film of the B-24 crash in Lafosse (Manhay) with the MCFA of Marche-en-Famenne.
(Location: Manhay Hall behind the former vicinal station)

Thursday, December 12:
– 13:00 Arrival of the first participants at the Grandmenil site
– 19:30 Conference on the battles at the Baraque de Fraiture-Manhay crossroads. (Manhay Hall)

Friday, December 13:
-08:00 Departure of the column from Ny (Hotton) to Beffe and Sadzot (Erezée) by re-enactors of the 75th US Infantry Division.
– 12:00 Departure of the WWII vehicle convoy in the Manhay-Erezée and Sadzot area.
– 13:00 Ceremony in the Sadzot woods (memorial to the 75th US Infantry Division) with the presence of American families
– 14:30 Ceremony in Lafosse on the B-24 crash
– 15:45 Grand Parade from Manhay to Grandmenil. Parade of present vehicles (armored).
– 19:00 Dinner under the marquee in Grandmenil.
– 20:00 Musical evening under the marquee with the « Manhattan Dolls » & « Tupelo Boys»

Saturday, December 14:
– 07:00 Reception of participants at the Grandmenil site. 
– 08:30 Departure of the « armored » convoy.
– 09:00 Opening of the military fair to the public (Grandmenil Hall).
– 09:00 Departure of the historical convoy.
– 12:00 Return of the convoy, meal (sausage sandwiches, pasta, etc…)
– 12:00 Musical entertainment « The Manhattan Dolls »
– 13:00 Show reenactment & pyrotechnics by re-enactors and armored vehicles.
– 14:00 Departure of the convoy for the afternoon tour.
– 14:30 Demonstration of tanks and armored vehicles (weather permitting)
– 15:00 Show under the marquee « Tupelo Boys »
– 18:00 Show under the marquee by the « Liejazz Big Band »
– 19:30 Dinner under the marquees
– 20:30 Musical evening under the marquee with the « Manhattan Dolls » & « Tupelo Boys»

Sunday, December 15:
– 09:00 Opening of the market to the public and access to the Grandmenil site
– 09:00 Departure of the convoy.
– 09:30 Mass in the Grandmenil church used by a US medical post.
-11:00 Ceremony at the 3rd Armored Division and 75th Infantry Division monument in  the center of Grandmenil.
– 11:45 Return of the convoy.
– 12:00 Tank demonstration and final photo
– 13:00 Show reenactment & pyrotechnics by re-enactors and armored vehicles
– 13:30 Lunch under the marquee.
– 14:30 Musical entertainment under the marquee « Manhattan Dolls »
– 16:30 End of the event.

Throughout the weekend, camp and museum visits will be available.
